Shiraz Farm Odoo POS – Privacy Policy

Shiraz Farm Inc. ("Shiraz Farm," "we," "us," or "our") operates Shiraz Farm Odoo POS, a semi-integrated point-of-sale payment integration that connects Odoo Point of Sale with compatible Clover payment devices.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when an authorized merchant uses the Shiraz Farm Odoo POS integration (the "App").

1. Information We May Process

Depending on how the App is configured and used, the App may process information necessary to operate the integration, including:

  • Clover merchant identification information.
  • Information required to establish and maintain the authorized connection between the merchant's Clover account and the App.
  • Odoo POS configuration information necessary to associate Clover payment devices with Odoo POS.
  • Payment transaction references, transaction identifiers, amounts, statuses, and related technical information required to reconcile payment activity with Odoo POS orders.
  • Information about payment terminals and their configuration, such as terminal identification and connection information.
  • Technical information necessary to diagnose integration errors and maintain the reliability of the App.

The specific information processed depends on the merchant's Odoo and Clover configuration.

2. Payment Card Information

The App is designed for card-present transactions in which the customer interacts directly with the Clover payment device.

Shiraz Farm does not intentionally collect or store customers' full payment-card numbers, CVV/security codes, PINs, or other sensitive authentication data through the App.

Payment-card information is handled through the Clover payment environment and compatible Clover payment device.

Merchants should not enter or store sensitive payment-card information in Odoo or in fields that are not intended for payment-card information.

3. Clover OAuth

The App uses Clover OAuth to authorize a merchant's connection to the App.

During authorization, the App may receive information necessary to identify the authorized Clover merchant and maintain the connection.

The App requests only the Clover permissions configured for its intended functionality.

The merchant may revoke the authorization according to the applicable Clover authorization and account controls.

4. How We Use Information

We may use information processed by the App to:

  • Connect an authorized Clover merchant account to Odoo POS.
  • Identify and validate the authorized Clover merchant.
  • Route payment requests to the appropriate Clover payment device.
  • Receive and record payment transaction results.
  • Associate payment activity with Odoo POS orders.
  • Support applicable cancellation and recovery workflows.
  • Support applicable full and partial refund workflows.
  • Reconcile payment transactions.
  • Diagnose technical problems and improve reliability and security.
  • Provide technical support to authorized merchants.

We do not use payment information processed through the App for advertising or unrelated marketing purposes.

5. Information Sharing

We may share or transmit information as necessary to operate the App and provide the integration, including with:

  • Clover, as necessary to process and manage Clover payment transactions and merchant authorization.
  • Odoo, as necessary to operate the merchant's Odoo POS installation.
  • Service providers that assist us with hosting, security, technical support, or operation of the App, where applicable.

We do not sell personal information obtained through the App.

We may disclose information where required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, security, users, or property.

6. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, including Odoo and Clover.

Your use of those services may also be governed by their respective privacy policies, terms, and agreements.

Shiraz Farm does not control the privacy practices, security practices, availability, or operation of third-party services.

7. Merchant and Employee Information

The App may process information associated with authorized merchant users or employees when such information is necessary for the operation, administration, security, or support of the integration.

Merchants are responsible for ensuring that their use of Odoo and Clover complies with applicable privacy and employment requirements and that authorized users have appropriate access.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating the App, maintaining transaction records, providing support, meeting legal or accounting requirements, resolving disputes, and maintaining security.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the Merchant's Odoo and Clover configuration.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed through the App.

The Merchant is also responsible for protecting its Odoo and Clover accounts, devices, networks, authentication credentials, and user access.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights relating to their personal information, including rights to request access to, correction of, or information about the handling of their personal information.

Requests concerning information controlled by a merchant should generally be directed to that merchant first.

Requests concerning information directly controlled by Shiraz Farm may be submitted using the contact information below.

We may need to verify the identity of a requester before responding.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is a business-to-business point-of-sale integration and is not directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through the App for the purpose of providing services to children.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, applicable law, security practices, or third-party services.

When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date displayed at the top of this Privacy Policy.
